Please note that the following definitions apply:
- The Salt Shop will be referred to as “the Company”.
- The person who places an order with the Company will be referred to as “the Customer”.
- Any goods ordered by the Customer from the Company will be referred to as “Materials”.
- All prices include VAT at the current rate unless otherwise stated.
Materials will be delivered within 5 - 10 working days following receipt of the order by the Company. Delivery can be upgraded to 2 working days on orders received before 1pm (on a working day) for an additional charge per bulk bag or pallet delivered.
Occasionally stocks of Materials might be low on certain items. The Company will inform the Customer, as soon as possible, of any delays.
Cancellations and changes to any orders must be made and received by the Company before Materials are dispatched. Full refunds can only be made if your order is cancelled 24 hours before the Materials are due to leave the Company’s yard.
Important Delivery Information:
All deliveries of Materials must be signed for by the Customer.
Standard delivery will be made on an 18 tonne rigid vehicle with a tail lift offload and with a manually operated pump truck placing the Materials as near to the Customer’s property as is deemed safe (this is not a crane offload).
Delivery can only be made if there is suitable access and a flat level hard surface, free of gravel and uneven paving etc. The driver will leave the Customer’s Materials as near to where the Customer requires the Materials subject to the access being deemed safe and suitable. If the ground is unsuitable, the Materials may be left on the roadside/kerbside at the driver’s discretion. It must be noted that it is NOT the driver’s responsibility to move the Materials whilst on site.
All times quoted, for delivery of Materials, is approximate and whilst the Company will make every effort to meet these targets no liability whatsoever will be accepted if the Company is unable to do so. Under no circumstances will the Company be liable for any consequential loss, damage or costs arising from late delivery of Materials. The Company’s liability for any Materials that are defective or not to the quality or specification is limited to the cost value of the Materials. No liability will be accepted arising from any errors or omissions relating to the order. Un-delivered Materials will incur re-delivery costs if due to poor access (see below). Please note that Materials are usually dispatched the same day the order is received.
The Company will not accept any liability for damage to the Customer’s private property caused during delivery of Materials, and the Customer must agree that the Customer’s driveway can withstand the weight of the vehicle and/or the Materials being delivered.
Customer Collections:
Customer collection orders can only be released from our office on receipt of the customer order confirmation email. This should be accompanied by either the debit/credit card used when placing the order or the Paypal payment confirmation email. The email order confirmation can be in either digital or paper format.
Orders are available for customer collection during these times; Monday to Friday between 9am and 5pm and Saturday between 9am and 12pm.
The materials will be loaded into your vehicle by a member of our staff. Please ensure your vehicle has adequate space for the quantity ordered and is legally able to hold the given weight of materials.
All customers wishing to be loaded with a forklift must pre-arrange a date and time for collection by contacting our office. All vehicles must be legally able to hold the given weight of the materials and be fit for purpose.
Refunds:
Refunds may be given for Materials at the discretion of the Company. These will be subject to a deduction for haulage costs incurred to and from the destination.
Should Materials be returned due to unsuitable access or because the Customer has ordered the incorrect Materials a restocking charge of £45.00 per single item of Materials will be payable by the Customer to the Company.
