We supply both Harvey block salt & Kinetico block salt. Suitable for all traditional block salt water softeners, supplied in 8kg pre-sealed packs (2 x 4kg blocks). Block Salt Usage
Each pack contains 2 salt blocks - each block weighs 4kg. One person will use 1 salt block per month, but can vary depending on your water usage.

Collect block salt from our yard at Terence House, 24 London Road, Thatcham RG19 4QA. Open Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM - 4:30 PM. We'll load packs into your vehicle. Same-day collection available on stocked items.

How much block salt will I need?
One person will use 1 salt block (4kg) per month, but can vary depending on your water usage. Each 8kg pack contains 2 blocks, so will last approximately 2 months for a single person, or 1 month for a couple. Families of four typically need 1-2 packs per month.
What's the difference between Harvey and Kinetico block salt?
Both are high-quality block salt suitable for block salt water softeners. Harvey block salt is specifically branded for Harvey water softeners, while Kinetico is branded for Kinetico systems. However, both work in any traditional block salt water softener - the shape and quality are compatible across brands.
Can I use block salt in a tablet salt water softener?
No. Block salt is only suitable for water softeners designed to use block salt (like Harvey and Kinetico block salt systems). If your water softener uses tablet salt or granular salt, you cannot use block salt - order our tablet salt instead.

Can you deliver to my garage?
Absolutely! We deliver to your preferred location - garage, shed, boiler room etc. Just let us know where you'd like the salt placed when ordering, and we'll do our best to take it there for you. For large deliveries or locations that are 30 meters or more away this will be done at the driver's discretion based on what time they have that day.
Do you deliver block salt upstairs or to flats?
Yes! 8kg packs of Harvey and Kinetico block salt are specifically recommended for stairs and flats. Going up stairs is a problem with big bags but not small bags. If you'd like a delivery of water softener salt to flats or up lots of stairs please only order 10kg bags of water softener and 8kg packs of Harvey and Kinetico block salt.
